Our 250th Independence Day is right around the corner, and if you're like most of us, you may want to make a few plans to celebrate this weekend. We’ve pulled together a list of some local events happening right here in Carroll County, GA and the surrounding areas - from musical performances and hangouts to community fireworks displays, there’s something here for every interest. And, most are FREE!


Fourth of July Celebrations

Carrollton

Carrollton Wind Ensemble concert

City of Mount Zion July Festival

  • Ages: all 

  • Date: Thursday, July 2nd from 5:30p.m. to dark

  • Focus: An evening of food, fun, music and community. Bouncy houses, corn hole, a dunk tank, raffle prizes and more! Fireworks display to follow.

City of Tallapoosa Fireworks

  • Date: Friday, July 3rd at 9p.m.

  • Focus: Fireworks display

  • Date: Saturday, July 4th, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.

  • Focus: Annual Veterans Program

  • Location: West Georgia Military Museum Education Center in Tallapoosa, GA

The City of Tallapoosa Fourth of July Parade

  • Ages: all

  • Date: Saturday, July 4th at 2 p.m.

  • Focus: Patriotic themes, floats, and more

  • Location: Parade typically follows Providence Church Road, Hwy 78 (east), Head Ave, Taliaferro St, Bowdon St, Broad St, ending near the Rec. Dept. fields

The City of Tallapoosa - Time Capsule Reveal

  • Ages: all

  • Date: Saturday, July 4th at 4 p.m.

  • Focus: 50 years ago a group of Tallapoosa citizens created a time capsule to celebrate the nation's bicentennial. Come watch as it is opened! Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children.

20th Annual Fireworks Display Extravaganza

  • Ages: all

  • Date: Friday, July 3rd from 5p.m. to 10p.m.

  • Focus: Live music, food vendors, military groups, merch vendors, kid's corner, and an extravagant fireworks finale!

Dallas

4th of July Patriotic Concert and Fireworks

  • Ages: all

  • Date: Saturday, July 4th from 6p.m. to 10p.m.

  • Focus: Downtown Dallas community event with a fly over by Museum of Flight, food trucks, restaurants, live music, activities for kids, and the ultimate fireworks show! BYO chair to enjoy the evening. A military tribute video will be shown prior to the concert and fireworks celebration!

4th of July Independence Day Celebration - All Day Event
